"I wish you would find a better class of groupies."

"Oy! Don't be dissing on my groupies. Let she who is without groupieness cast the first disparaging remark."

Bubbles rolled her eyes. "Here we go again."

"What?" cried Jack rather defensively, "Are you saying you are not one of my groupies? You do follow me from town to town, venue to venue."

"I would think I'm a little bit different."

"What? Just because of our little arrangement?"

"is that what it is to you? An 'arrangement'? I thought I meant something more to you."

"Baby, I can't afford for you to mean something more. You'll break the bank."

"And that's why I wish you'd find a better class of groupies. You know, people who'd offer you money instead of their undergarments."

"Aw baby. They ain't got nothing on you in that department."

"Flattery won't help."

"Flattery? Me? You accuse me of flattery? I may be many things, but a liar I am not."

Bubbles rolled her eyes again, letting out an exasperated sigh. "Look, Jack, can we just move past this and find maybe a little better part of town to crash in?"

"It ain't up to me. It's up to the band, and we've sunk a fortune in this custom tour buss. Sure, it's a bit big, but it's got all the comforts of home, and then some, " Jack replied with a lascivious wink.

"Forget it. I've got bigger fish to fry," said Bubbles, while disentangled herself from Jack's lap. "I'll see you around," she said, as she left Jack with his thoughts.

The door to the tour buss had no sooner closed behind Bubbles wiggling form when a feminine scream split the stale night air.

Jack bolted back out the door and called for his dearest groupie. "BUBBLES!! Are you OK?" he screamed.

The response came quickly: silence.

Jack ran around his tour bus a few times in quick succession, looking around the empty parking lot all the while. There was nothing, nothing at all. The parking lot had nearly cleared out by this point, and Bubbles' was nowhere to be seen.

Jack quickly climed back into the bus with a worried look on his face. "Hey guys, something's come up, we're gonna have to drive a bit" he said as he rustled the driver from his sleep. He winced as a nearly empty beer can hit the wall above his head.

"We ain't goin' nowhere, I'm tired as !#$!" the drummer angrily yelled. He was an ornery fellow, but he sure played a good hi-hat, so Jack kept him in the band.

Jack sighed as he started to jog to the edge of the parking lot. He was hoping to get some rest, but he was now quite concerned about Bubbles. He noticed a payphone and headed towards it.
